Together time

Small adventures. Plenty of time together.

A family holiday on the southern Costa Blanca does not need a new attraction every morning. Use San Miguel as your base, alternate coastal outings with slower days, and keep the plan flexible around your children.

Our suggested rhythm

One main outing per day, with a meal and a rest in the plan. This is a suggested itinerary to adapt to your family, weather and opening hours, rather than a package of included activities.

Seven days, without overfilling them

DayThe main planKeep it flexible
1Arrive, unpack and pick up groceriesDinner at home if the journey runs late
2Try one Orihuela Costa beachA short first visit is enough
3Explore San Miguel and take a slower afternoonPool time only if open and suitable
4A Torrevieja outingChoose one destination and a meal stop
5A different beach or a day at homeLet the weather and energy levels decide
6Repeat the family's favourite dayNo need to tick off somewhere new
7Pack, check out and travelLeave margin for the return journey

Choose the home around how your family sleeps

The planned apartment has three double bedrooms for up to six guests. That is not six separate beds. If children need separate sleeping spaces, ask for the bed arrangement before choosing your dates.

Ask specifically about cots, highchairs, bathroom layout and equipment for younger children; these are not currently promised amenities. The apartment is on the fifth floor with a lift, so discuss any mobility needs and the route from the entrance as well.

Make the first beach visit a short one

Pick one named beach and check the access from parking before setting out. Carry what you need for that outing rather than planning to move between several coves with all your bags.

Check the flags and local instructions when you arrive. Beach conditions and lifeguard availability vary; a family-oriented description is not a safety guarantee. Keeping lunch simple makes it easier to head home when everyone has had enough.

Leave some days close to home

Self-catering makes it easier to keep familiar mealtimes and have a quiet evening after a trip. Plan a grocery stop around your arrival, then keep a few easy meals available for changes of plan.

The shared pool is a planned apartment amenity. Ask about opening dates, rules and any children's facilities before making it the centre of your holiday. Pool heating, a fenced children's area and lifeguard supervision are not advertised here.

Make a coastal town visit manageable

For a Torrevieja outing, choose the part of town you want to see and where you will eat. Save the parking or arrival point and the return route. A promenade visit can be the whole outing, rather than the start of an all-day schedule.

For warmer days, adjust your plans to the conditions and make room for shade and breaks. For a rainy day, staying in with a simple meal can be more restful than driving around looking for an attraction.

Before you book

  • Confirm the bed layout and any equipment needed for the children's ages.
  • Ask about balcony, pool and building arrangements relevant to your family.
  • Arrange transport with the right seats and enough luggage space.
  • Get a complete quote, including cleaning and any other charges.
  • Agree on arrival arrangements, especially for an evening flight.

Frequently asked questions

Is the apartment suitable for babies?

Discuss your needs with the owner before booking. Cots, highchairs and baby-specific safety equipment are not yet listed as confirmed facilities.

Can we have a family holiday here without hiring a car?

It depends on your exact plans. From this inland base, arrange transport for beach and coastal outings, then compare the cost and convenience with hiring a car. Do not assume a direct bus from the apartment to each activity.
