ALC or RMU: use the airport code
Use ALC for Alicante and RMU for Región de Murcia International when comparing flights and booking onward transport. Share the airport code with the transfer company as well as the flight number to avoid confusion about the pickup.

Hiring a car: think beyond passenger seats
Six passengers, suitcases and golf bags can exceed a vehicle's usable luggage space even when it has enough seats. Compare the actual vehicle category, and ask about luggage capacity before paying.
Read the pickup requirements, fuel policy, deposit, insurance terms and out-of-hours arrangements. Confirm the apartment's garage access and vehicle clearance before choosing a large vehicle. A parking space is not a promise that every van will fit.
Taking a taxi or transfer
Give the operator the full accommodation address, passenger count, luggage and any child-seat needs. Request a total quote for this destination and clarify waiting time if the flight is delayed.

Without a car: check each connection
A bus serving an airport or a nearby coastal town does not necessarily take you to the apartment. Build the route all the way to the door, including the final connection, its timetable and the cost of a taxi if you miss it.
Then plan the rest of the week. If beach days and golf need repeated transfers, compare that total with hiring a car for part or all of the stay.
Make the first evening easy
- Agree on arrival and key collection before travelling.
- Keep the address and arrival instructions available offline.
- Leave room for a grocery stop if it suits your arrival time.
- Ask about the essentials you want on arrival instead of assuming there is a welcome pack.
